Well, I put a lot of information on my blog about myself already.
Basically, I am a fun-loving outgoing girl. I dont care what people think of me because I will do exactly the opposite of what they want just to get a reaction. My friends mean the world to me and I do anything I can to help them. I have a great many opinions on topics, but I generally am very agreeing with what everyone else thinks. First opinions count completely for me. Make a good first impression on me or it is very hard for me to like you after that. I am not stuck up, I have just been pushed around and used quite a bit so I know what I want in life.
From this class....
Well honestly the only reason I took it was to complete my english credits at highschool, but now my school wont accept this class as an "english" so...
Besides that, I am looking to just bump-up my writing skills. I am a very good opinion writer, but papers are hard sometimes because I either put too much or not enough effort into them, plus most of my papers become repetitive and opinionated.
In general, I just hope to get a good grade and have some fun learning a "fun" way of writing so that maybe I will put more effort into my papers. :)

I am so with you on the I don't care what people think of me topic! I do the exact same thing!! I love to get reactions out of people!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Do you have any good stories of how you've irritated people by going against the grain? I too love reactions and spent much of my high schools years doing anything to get them.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you, Ashley. I'm confident you'll learn many skills in this class that you can apply to the rest of your coursework.
ReplyDeleteAshley, I agree that first impressions can be very important and very hard to backtrack on. I am sorry to hear that your school won't give you an English credit but it sounds like since you are a person of strong opinions you might really enjoy the opportunity this class provides us! :)
ReplyDeleteOnce I started reading your blog I couldn't stop! I like how you don't care what people think of you! Life's to short to worry about other peoples judgement of you! Hey if you got A's and B's in school there is no reason not too brag! That just means you care about your studies :)
ReplyDeleteGood stories of "going against the grain"... Hmmm.. Well I typically will wear outfits with every article being a different color or pattern, I back-talk to the most popular kids in my class, because I would rather they hate me, but know my opinion, instead of just keeping quiet. I tend to make friends with the most hated teachers in school, and then other students get angry when I can get away with anything in those classes and they can't.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering, twcbreegream, are you part of the Media writing class or just a random blogger?
I have heard the old saying you never get a second chance at making a good first impression. I have even physically encountered it in the past, close to 30 years ago. A very good friend of mine and I were driving along and the roads were icy. He decided he couldn't wait until we got home to open a beer. Just as he opened the can the vehicle slid out of control, went into a ditch and hit a large sign in front of a church knocking it down. As we got out and looked down at the sign it said, you never get a second chance at making a good first impression. If there is a moral to this story I guess that it's good that it happened in front of the church where forgiveness is divine.
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome that you are young and know who you are and what you want. I think a strong sense of self is essential to success. I look forward to reading more of your blogs.
ReplyDeletescarletblack13 I was part of the media class but I had to drop it because of my other classes :(
ReplyDeleteGood for you! Some of the best discussions can come from provoking someone. You seem to have a lot of self confidence, which is good. Self confidence will take you far in life.
